At $38,000 clams, it should also do video.

Of course, it's also a tax write-off, but at these prices, I would start to look at pro high def motion picture cameras, as now you can get what Lucas is shooting with for around $12,000, and spend some on servers, etc.

You might prefer the Canon Mark3 because for what you shoot the Mark3 is more "practical", however if you did primarily studio work, with lots of cropping and post processing, the top of the line dslr are still in a lower league. The reason most people don't see medium or large format cameras being used for weddings is because most people can't afford it. Most expensive weddings have at least the portrait/posed photos shot with medium or large format cameras & use DSLR for the small stuff ;)

You can also print posters of 10 square metres from a 6MP dSLR. The reason question is, how much quality degradation is the viewer willing to accept? A print that large can only be created at a resolution of 50DPI - which is horrendously low. Not many people will be happy with 50DPI.

hahahahahaha...it may different between canon 1ds MKIII and hasselblad sir..cause 1ds is a pro DSLR and Hasselblad is a medium-large format camera..and their price is so far different..

32000 may seem a lot for a camera, but to fashion photographers who make in excess of that per day, and it being their key tool, it really is worth that much money. sure there are other part frame and full frame cameras that can do a similar job, but hasselblad is simply the best for fashion and studio photography. if your a race driver, you can get a bmw, but you would go better with a ferrari. if your a professional photographer you can get a canon 1ds MKIII, or you can get a hasselblad

If I am calculating correctly, a 39 Megapixel foto could easily be used to print posters of 10 square meters...

No offense guys but you guys dont get it, it does sound crazy when someone is about to spend 32.000 on a camera, But Hasselblad was not made for someone that just want to take a picture of daily stuff, these are mostly used in studio. the reason why 39 Mp well it probably does not matter in the process of taking the picture, but the 39 MP really make a better product during the post-production process. 39MP will give a great details and room to edit. So it is an invesment for a photographer! |
