Watch Hands-On Digital Camera Videos

The digital camera videos featured here should help answer many of your questions about digital cameras and help you choose the make and model that's right for you.

Although not all videos demonstrating digital cameras are created equally and you'll likely find some more beneficial than others, it's still extremely helpful watching a hands-on demo rather than simply reading a review.

Watching digital camera videos will give you a better understanding of the camera's looks, its size, main dials and buttons and other important features. Although the videos cover most major camera brands, new digital cameras hit the shelves so often that it's impossible to include all makes and models. To find specific videos, use the Search box (top left) or try one of the Video Tags on the left.

@cheryl1358 do you have it on auto or manual focus? you may want to try manual focus, it is possible it is too dark for auto-focus to detect a subject. switch the camera and the lens to Manual focus. if you have tried that, then im not entirely sure...

Just purchased my first DSLR, I really cant wait to test out something like this! Great video for the beginning photographer. All your videos have been super helpful and informative! The lack of technical jargon in your videos has enabled me to learn faster than reading an entire book on how to do the same thing. Thanks!!

@mcdesign2401 He's basically saying you need to keep the shutter open long enough for the ambient light to reach your sensor. Then he says you have to keep the camera still. If you have the shutter open for 2 seconds, all the light that is in front of the camera will reach the sensor. And if you are taking a long picture and the camera get moved at all, that light will reach the sensor differently.
