you can get one for $550 at Best buy this friday. D40 with the 18-200mm VR lens, Case & DVD. I'm getting mine :D

I'm going to buy a D40 with the 18-200mm VR lens hopefully within a month or so! Then later on I will probably invest in a D90 when the price has gone down......

ok ok. what do you think moving from a compact(dslr size and body) like fuji 6500fd to this very attractive nikon d40, here in spain it is for 290euros and i have been all the day thinking in buying it or not. i know it is a great machine.cool and nice. but in your opinions guys, will i see significant changes or differences between my camera and the d40?

not much, the xs is cheaper, and canon is well known for their rebel line of cameras
