Watch Hands-On Digital Camera Videos

The digital camera videos featured here should help answer many of your questions about digital cameras and help you choose the make and model that's right for you.

Although not all videos demonstrating digital cameras are created equally and you'll likely find some more beneficial than others, it's still extremely helpful watching a hands-on demo rather than simply reading a review.

Watching digital camera videos will give you a better understanding of the camera's looks, its size, main dials and buttons and other important features. Although the videos cover most major camera brands, new digital cameras hit the shelves so often that it's impossible to include all makes and models. To find specific videos, use the Search box (top left) or try one of the Video Tags on the left.

SP550 UZ Test Footage - Deer in the Morning

I just got this new camera a couple of days ago the 'Olympus SP-550 UZ' and was looking for an opportunity to test out the video mode. Luckily this morning I had a chance to capture this stag which bolted out of a wood that I was walking next to. Unfortunately in order to adjust the zoom you have to stop the microphone so for the last 25 seconds while I demonstrate the zoom you're out of sound (you only lose the birds singing).

that is false advertising on this camera. to get 15 pics/second you need to reduce the resoloution and the ISO.

Hey there, if you would like to adjust the zoom while recording you have to disable the microphone in the menu. In this video I just combine two separate clips one with audio and no zoom control and one without audio but with zoom control. If you look carefully at 0:53 you can see the change. Hope this helps!

sweet thanks .... i got my camera 3 days ago. I live a block away from railway tracks and theres a carpark on the other side of the tracks. I zoomed in and took a crystal clear photo of someone plate number! :-)

Yes, absolutely. I just took these two short clips from my window to demonstrate the difference: Megaupload[DOT]com/?d=W39FE9UQ Both videos are at 30fps (50meg total). To enable High quality recording you'll need a type 'H' memory card (not 'M'). If you wish to use the 'Panorama' feature you'll need an official Olympus card. The only downside I found is that you can't zoom if you enable the microphone.

Does anybody know what kind of deer this is? I belive it to be a Fallow Deer but I'm not certain. Here is a frame taken from the original video before YouTube killed the quality: putfile[DOT]com/pic[DOT]php?img=5261637
